How to Measure Your Existing Euro Cylinder:
Getting the right size is the single most important step — an incorrectly sized cylinder will either stick out from the door (a security risk) or sit too far back to operate properly. Measure as follows:
- Step 1: Remove the retaining screw from the edge of your door (usually located on the lock face, below the latch).
- Step 2: Insert the key, turn slightly, and pull the cylinder out.
- Measurement A: Measure from one end of the cylinder to the centre of the screw hole.
- Measurement B: Measure from the other end to the centre of the screw hole.
- Example: If A = 45mm and B = 50mm, you need a 45/50mm cylinder.
