Glass rattling or wedge gasket loose? Incremental wedge gaskets come in graded sizes, so you can choose the step that fits your glazing gap.
We stock Reddiplex TPR incremental wedge gaskets in graded sizes (such as R6503 and R6505), sold per metre, and an incremental wedge sample pack.
Pull a short length of the old wedge gasket out from between the glass and the bead, and look at the end.
Measure the gap between the glass and the glazing bead. This sets the thickness you need.
Compare your piece with the product diagrams. Reddiplex profiles are listed by R-number.
If several profiles look similar, test them in the frame with a sample pack first.
The gap between glass and bead varies between windows. Incremental profiles step up in size, so you can pick the one that grips firmly without being too hard to push in.
Start at a corner and push the gasket into the gap between the glass and the bead, working along each side. Don't stretch it, or it will shrink back and leave gaps at the corners. Leave a little extra and trim neatly.
Measure the gap between the glass and the bead, and test with a sample pack if you are unsure.
