Draught or rain coming in under the door? The rubber seal in the threshold may be worn, flattened or missing. You can often replace just the seal, without changing the whole threshold.

Look for a name on the threshold, such as Stormguard or Exitex, and a code such as MXS or AM3.
Pull out a short piece of the old seal and compare the shape with the product photos.
Measure the length of the threshold.
For a garage door, measure the width of the door opening.
If the threshold is sound and only the rubber is worn, a new seal is the quick fix. If the threshold is cracked or loose, replace the whole threshold.
Pull out the old seal, clean the groove and push the new seal in along its length.
