Door handle drooping or the spindle snapped? You may not need new handles. A new spring cassette or spindle can often fix the problem.
We stock uPVC door handle spares including replacement spring cassettes, spindles and spindle sleeves, split spindle sets for Yale, ERA and Fuhr locks, and blanking plates, from brands including Hoppe, Yale, ERA, Fuhr, Trojan and Fab & Fix.
Measure the square spindle across the flats: 7mm or 8mm. Sleeves let a 7mm spindle fit an 8mm hole.
Measure the length so it reaches through both handles.
Some multipoint locks use a split spindle. Check the lock make, such as Yale, ERA or Fuhr.
Check the handle make. The Hoppe cassettes fit Hoppe handles.
If a door handle won't spring back up, the spring inside may have failed. Replacement spring cassettes can fix it without new handles.
A split spindle lets the inside and outside handles work separately. Fit the set made for your lock.
A blanking plate covers the holes where a handle has been removed. Match the screw centres.
Usually a worn or broken spring. Try a replacement spring cassette, or replace the handles.
Both are used. Measure yours across the flats.
