Wedge gasket split or shrunk? Reddilock is a Reddiplex range of PVC wedge gaskets for uPVC and aluminium glazing.
We stock Reddilock wedge gaskets in a range of profiles (such as R3230 and R3231), sold per metre, and a Reddilock sample pack.
Pull a short length of the old wedge gasket out from between the glass and the bead, and look at the end.
Measure the gap between the glass and the glazing bead. This sets the thickness you need.
Compare your piece with the product diagrams. Reddiplex profiles are listed by R-number.
If several profiles look similar, test them in the frame with a sample pack first.
Reddilock profiles are close in size, so measure the gap and compare the leg shape carefully, or use the sample pack.
Start at a corner and push the gasket into the gap between the glass and the bead, working along each side. Don't stretch it, or it will shrink back and leave gaps at the corners. Leave a little extra and trim neatly.
It is the Reddiplex profile number. Match it to your old gasket if you can.
Yes, a Reddilock sample pack.
