Rain getting in under the door? A weather bar (rain deflector or drip bar) fits along the bottom of the outside of the door and throws water away from the gap.
We stock a JCP uPVC click fit weather bar (850mm), Exitex and Stormguard aluminium weather bars (914mm), the Stormguard 32mm and 63mm drip bars, a Stormguard bottom door seal strip, and replacement end caps for Exitex weather bars.
Measure the width of the door. Compare it with the length on the listing.
The JCP click fit bar is for uPVC doors. Aluminium bars suit timber, uPVC and composite doors; check the listing for fixing.
Choose a slim or deeper bar to suit the gap above your threshold.
If your bar is fine but the end caps are broken or missing, you may only need new end caps.
The bar sticks out from the bottom of the door and has a lip that throws rain away from the gap between the door and the threshold. It works best together with a good threshold.
Close the door and check the bar clears the threshold, then fix it to the outside face of the door. Seal along the top edge if the listing advises it.
A weather bar stops rain. A draught excluder or bottom seal closes the gap to stop draughts. Some doors need both.
Check the listing for each bar.
Yes, we stock replacement end caps for Exitex weather bars.
