Cadenza Window Handles

ERA Cadenza Window Handles

Got an ERA Cadenza window handle to replace? Cadenza is an ERA espag window handle that uses a flat spade drive rather than the usual square spindle. We stock the ERA Cadenza espag handle in white for uPVC windows.

Check your existing handle before you order: a spade-drive handle only fits a lock designed for it, and a standard square-spindle handle won't fit a spade-drive lock.

How to Check You Need a Cadenza Handle

Drive type

Take the old handle off. If the part that goes into the window is a flat blade (spade) rather than a square bar, you need a spade-drive handle.

Brand marking

Look for ERA or Cadenza on the handle or the lock faceplate.

Fixings

Check the screw positions match the old handle so the new one sits in the same place.

Replacing a Cadenza Window Handle

Open the window, remove the cover caps and the two screws, and pull the old handle out. Push the new handle's spade into the lock in the same position, refit the screws and check the window locks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I fit a normal espag handle instead?

Not to a spade-drive lock. You would need to change the lock to one with a square spindle drive. See our espag window handles and window locks.

What does spade driven mean?

The handle drives the lock with a flat blade instead of a square spindle. The lock has a matching slot.
