Match the diameter of the old screw, for example 4.8mm for friction hinges or M5 for espag handles.
Match the length. Handles and hinges can need different lengths even when they look the same.
Check whether you need a countersunk or pan head, and Pozi or Torx drive.
Frame and masonry fixings must suit the wall or frame material.
Friction hinge screws fix window hinges to the frame and sash. Use the length your hinge needs.
M5 machine screws fix espag window handles into the threaded holes of the gearbox. Measure the length of your old screws.
Frame anchors and Torx masonry screws fix window and door frames into the wall. Baypole screws join frames together.
Most espag handles use M5 machine screws. Match the length of your old screws.
If they are in good condition and the right size, yes. Replace any that are damaged or rusty.
