Seal round the glass perished or shrunk? Reddiglaze is a Reddiplex range of glazing wedges in a wide choice of profiles, in TPR, EPDM and PVC.
We stock Reddiglaze wedge gaskets in a wide choice of profiles (such as R5913 and R6768), sold per metre, and a wedge gasket sample pack.
Pull a short length of the old wedge gasket out from between the glass and the bead, and look at the end.
Measure the gap between the glass and the glazing bead. This sets the thickness you need.
Compare your piece with the product diagrams. Reddiplex profiles are listed by R-number.
If several profiles look similar, test them in the frame with a sample pack first.
Reddiglaze profiles come in different materials. Match the profile first; the listing gives the material for each.
Start at a corner and push the gasket into the gap between the glass and the bead, working along each side. Don't stretch it, or it will shrink back and leave gaps at the corners. Leave a little extra and trim neatly.
It is the Reddiplex profile number. Match it to your old gasket if you can.
