Tilt & Turn Drive Gears

Tilt & Turn Window Drive Gears

Tilt and turn window handle turning but the window won't lock, tilt or open? The drive gear is the gearbox in the edge of the window that the handle turns. It moves the locking bar that switches the window between locked, turn and tilt. When it wears or breaks, the handle slips, sticks or turns without doing anything.

We stock replacement tilt and turn drive gears for the main hardware systems: Maco Trend, Siegenia SI-Trail, Roto Centro and Hautau Garant.

Match the brand

Drive gears are not interchangeable between brands. Open the window and look for the name stamped on the faceplate in the edge of the sash.

Check the markings

Note any model name or part number and photograph the faceplate before you take anything apart.

Handle or gear?

If the handle itself is broken or loose, you may only need a new tilt and turn window handle.
