Cold draught coming through the letterbox? An internal letter box cover fits on the inside of the door, over the letterbox opening, to stop draughts and tidy up the inside of the door. We stock internal letterbox covers and brush draught excluders from Exitex and Stormguard, with an aluminium flap, a plastic flap, or a brush with no flap.
Check the size of the opening on the inside of the door and the fixing positions before you order.
A cover with a flap closes over the opening. A brush draught excluder lets post through while blocking draughts, with no flap to push.
Measure the slot on the inside of the door. The cover must be larger than the opening.
Most covers screw to the inside of the door. Check there is space around the opening for the fixings.
Our covers fit on the inside of the door. To replace the outside flap, replace the complete letterbox: see our 12 inch letterboxes.
Hold the cover centrally over the inside of the letterbox, mark the screw holes, and screw it to the door. Check post can still pass through and the flap or brush closes fully.
Yes. A brush or flap cover on the inside stops most of the cold air that comes through the letterbox.
Yes, if the cover is larger than the opening and there is room for the screws.
Our range covers internal covers and complete letterboxes. For a broken outside flap, a new letterbox is usually the simplest fix.
