Measure between the centres of the two fixing screws. Many espag handles use 43mm, but always measure rather than assume.
Remove the old handle and measure the spindle length from the base of the handle to the tip. 7mm square spindles are common on espag handles.
Inline handles are often non-handed. Offset espag and cockspur handles may come in left- and right-hand versions.
Bulk packs suit jobs where the same handle is going on lots of windows: rental properties, housing maintenance, offices, schools and full refurbishments. Buying them together keeps the finish matching and can lower the price per handle.
The lever sits in line with the spindle. These are the most common handles on uPVC windows with espag or shootbolt locks, and many are non-handed, which makes them easy to use in bulk. The Mila Smart Spindle handle lets you change the spindle length.
Found on older uPVC and aluminium windows. The spur closes over a wedge on the frame instead of driving a lock. Check the fixing pattern, handing and the height of the spur before ordering a full pack.
