Not sure of the exact gap? Tear off wedge gasket has a strip you can tear off to make it thinner, so one profile can suit more than one gap.
We stock Reddiplex PVC tear off wedge gaskets in a range of profiles (such as R4897 and R5536), sold per metre, and a tear off wedge sample pack.
Pull a short length of the old wedge gasket out from between the glass and the bead, and look at the end.
Measure the gap between the glass and the glazing bead. This sets the thickness you need.
Compare your piece with the product diagrams. Reddiplex profiles are listed by R-number.
If several profiles look similar, test them in the frame with a sample pack first.
If the gasket is too tight to push in, tear off the strip to make it thinner. Check the listing for the size with and without the strip.
Start at a corner and push the gasket into the gap between the glass and the bead, working along each side. Don't stretch it, or it will shrink back and leave gaps at the corners. Leave a little extra and trim neatly.
Tear off the strip along the whole length you are fitting, so the gasket is the same thickness all the way.
