Seal round the glass split, shrunk or coming away? E gaskets are used on many uPVC and aluminium windows and doors. The leg is shaped like a fir tree or an E so it grips in the groove.
We stock Reddiplex E gaskets by R-number (such as R5711, R6068, R6543X and R9156X) per metre, bulk rolls of 50 to 200m, and an E gasket sample pack.
Pull out a short length of the old gasket and look at the end. The shape of the cross-section is what you need to match.
Measure the overall height and width, and the leg or foot that pushes into the groove.
Compare your piece with the product diagrams. Reddiplex profiles are listed by R-number, such as R6160.
Measure round each window or door and add a little for the corners and trimming. Most gaskets are sold per metre.
E gaskets come in many similar shapes. A small difference in the leg can stop it gripping in the groove, so compare the cross-section carefully.
The E gasket sample pack lets you test different profiles before you buy a full length.
