Multipoint Door Lock Replacement Gearbox Only Yale G2000 UPVC 35mm Backset

This lock is a replacement gearbox for the Yale 2000 series locks and comes with a backset of 35mm (measurement from handle spindle centre to front of lock faceplate). This is the part that is most likely to be at fault when a lock fails and becomes unusable. Replacing the gearbox is cost effective as it saves having to buy a complete new lock and it is quite easily replaced.

Yale manufacture a range of 2000 series locks, this gearbox will fit most locks in the G2000 range, but as always taking careful measurements will ensure the correct size is ordered. The latch is easily adaptable to fit both left and right handed doors, the lock is designed for use with lever/lever or lever/pad operation handles.

What should I check before ordering a new door lock gearbox case?

The most important measurements are the backset and the lock handle centres (the distance from the centre of the handle spindle to the centre of the barrel). Both measurements should be checked before ordering to ensure compatibility.
