Eurospec Thumb Turn Euro Cylinder Door Lock

This is a certified thumbturn lock having undergone and passed the most rigorous of examinations, it has been independently tested and meets the British Standard BS EN1303 - Grade 6. Our replacement door cylinder locks will fit all PVC-u doors with multi-point locks and can easily be fitted to upgrade older style doors. Once fitted you simply turn the knob to open or lock your door from the inside, the key is only needed to lock the door from the outside. A Thumb Turn Cylinder is ideal for doors that require emergency exit.

How do I measure a door cylinder?

The size of cylinder you need is determined by the thickness of the door and handle combination, for this reason there are many sizes available and you will need to be careful that you measure the cylinder accurately (one size will not fit all). It is possible to measure a door cylinder in the door, but to be sure it's best to remove it first.

Your new door cylinder should protrude by no more than 5mm from the handle back plates.

Measurement A (Thumb Turn side) - Measure from one end of the cylinder to the middle of the central screw hole.

Measurement B - Measure from the other end to the middle of the central screw hole.

Now check your measurements

Measure the overall cylinder length from end to end. The length of the cylinder should equal the sum of measurements (A) and (B) when added together.

For example: If measurement (A) = 45mm and measurement (B) = 50mm the size required would be T45/50 cylinder (95mm in length).

This would be a T45/50 cylinder (95mm in length). When ordering please remember that the Thumb Turn will always be on the 'T' side (i.e. T45/50 Thumbturn , thumbturn knob will be on the 45mm side).

No further measurements are required
