What measurements should I check before ordering a handle set?

The most important measurements are the distance between screw holes centre to centre (this handle measures 43 mm) and the distance from the centre of the handle spindle to the centre of the barrel (this handle measures 62mm). The length and width of the handle are less critical as a slightly shorter or longer handle should make no difference.
