How should I measure my hinges?

The diagram in the image gallery will help you with this:

A: First you need to establish the hanging type, do you require a top or side hung hinge?

B: Then you need to take your first measurement - this is the actual length of the hinge. You will need to measure the part that fixes to the window frame (not sash), please see the diagram showing where the hinge length measurements are taken from.

C: The second measurement is that of the hinge width i.e. the width of the metal part that fixes to the outer frame

D: The final measurement that you need is the stack height; this hinge covers both 13mm and 17mm stack heights (for 17mm use the packers provided).

My new hinges are opening the wrong way?

Certainly, we understand that mistakes can occur. If you've opened your door hinges the wrong way, don't worry; you're not alone. Each hinge is marked with either an 'L' or an 'R', along with an arrow indicating the correct opening direction. To correct the error, simply perform the following steps:

1. Carefully remove the blue end caps from the affected hinges.
2. Close the hinges, making sure they are correctly aligned.
3. Securely reattach the blue end caps.
4. Now, go ahead and open the hinges in the direction indicated by the 'L' or 'R' marking and the arrow.

By following these steps, you'll be able to fix the issue without any hassle.
