UPVC Window Hinge Egress Fire Escape Easy Clean Yale Friction Stay Pair

The uPVC Window Hinge Easy Clean Friction Stay by Yale is manufactured for use on outward opening casement windows and offers excellent weather sealing and draught proofing performance, thanks to its extended end cap and asymmetrical vent arm. Its lipped slider provides smooth operation and its friction can be adjusted by a cam friction device which eliminates the risk of the friction screw being misused. It can be opened to an 81°(12" version) or 83°(16" version) angle, making it ideal for use on a potential fire escape window.

This hinge has an "easy clean" function which allows you to move the window to the side so you can clean your window from inside the building. This can be operated by pressing the button on the hinge and simply sliding the window to the side.

How should I measure my hinges?

A: First you need to establish the hanging type, do you require a top or side hung hinge? (These hinges are side hung)

B: Then you need to take your first measurement - this is the actual length of the hinge. You will need to measure the part that fixes to the window frame (not sash), please see the diagram showing where the hinge length measurements are taken from.(These hinges are 302mm or 402mm in length)

C: The second measurement is that of the hinge width i.e. the width of the metal part that fixes to the outer frame. (These hinges are 18mm in width)

D: The final measurement that you need is the Stack Height, this measurement is the height of the hinge when closed, please see diagram. Stack heights come in two sizes 13mm or 17mm, so even if you are unsure you can usually calculate which is correct because of the 4mm difference. ( These hinges are 13mm or 17mm in stack height)
