What should I check before ordering a new door lock gearbox case?

The most important measurements are the backset and the lock handle centres (the distance from the centre of the handle spindle to the centre of the barrel). Both measurements should be checked before ordering to ensure compatibility.

How to reverse the latch:

1. Push the square button down and hold to release the latch. (See diagram for button position).
2. Remove the latch.
3. Rotate the latch to the required position and push back in again.
4. Release the button.
