How many keys come with my order?
3 keys are supplied per order, not per cylinder. This applies whether you order 1 cylinder, 2 keyed-alike cylinders, or 10 keyed-alike cylinders — you will always receive 3 keys in total. If you need more than 3 keys, please order additional keys from our extra keys page at the same time as your cylinders. For a new keyed-alike set, leave the key code field blank. If matching an existing key code, enter the code when ordering the extra keys. If you are ordering cylinders to match an existing key code, no keys are supplied as standard and any keys required must be purchased separately.
What is the keyed alike option and how does it work?
Keyed alike means multiple cylinders are cut to the same key code, so one key operates them all. Simply order the quantity of cylinders you need from this listing, and they will be specially pinned to match. Remember — 3 keys are supplied per order regardless of how many cylinders you purchase. Extra keys can be ordered from our shop.
How do I measure my door cylinder correctly?
Remove your existing cylinder, noting which end is external. Measure from the internal side (thumb turn side) to the centre of the screw hole (Measurement A). Then measure from the external side to the centre of the screw hole (Measurement B). Order the size that matches these measurements by selecting from the dropdown. For example, if A = 40mm and B = 50mm, select "40mm Int 50mm Ext" where "Int" means internal (thumb turn side) and "Ext" means external. The first measurement (Int) always represents the thumb turn side.
Do I need to purchase additional security hardware with this lock?

This is a high-quality keyed-alike tumbler lock. Additional locks and spare keys can be ordered using the key code, allowing multiple locks to operate from the same key if required. The cylinders are available in different sizes to suit various door thicknesses, and replacing an existing lock is very straightforward, secured by a single fixing screw as standard. The lock is TS007 rated and carries the recognised Kite Mark certification. It operates very smoothly, with keys that can be inserted in any orientation. The door can also be unlocked from the outside even if the internal thumb turn has been used to lock it. The thumb turn itself is easy to operate and provides a simple way to secure the door from the inside

Avocet 3 Star Lock
Excellent service from JCP, answered my questions. My order was custom built as it contained different length locks and multiple keys. Delivery was much faster than quoted - maybe we just struck lucky! - a good surprise. Locks feel substantial and the key design looks like it makes picking the lock more difficult. The locks aren't cheap, but this is the only manufacturer that I found who would key alike different length locks and the only supplier who was interested in taking my order. All in all, impressive service and product.
