Description
Reinforced uPVC door panel, 750mm x 750mm, in 20mm, 24mm or 28mm thickness, cut to size to replace a flat half panel in a uPVC or double glazed door.
JCP White uPVC Reinforced Flat Half Door Panel is a replacement infill panel for uPVC doors, conservatories and double glazing frames. It is supplied as a 750mm x 750mm blank that you cut down to the size of your old panel, so one panel suits most half-door openings. Choose the thickness that matches the panel you are taking out.
The panel is a sandwich of two 1.5mm white UV-stable uPVC skins around a polystyrene foam core with a 4mm MDF reinforcing board. The skins will not yellow or turn pink in sunlight. The same panel is often used to blank off an old pet flap or a glazed area where privacy is wanted.
Dimensions - Check It Fits:
Key sizes to check:
- Width: 750mm (cut down to suit)
- Height: 750mm (cut down to suit)
- Thickness: 20mm, 24mm or 28mm - select the option that matches your old panel
Measure the visible panel and add the amount hidden behind the beads, or remove the beads and measure the old panel once it is out. Measure the thickness of the old panel at a cut edge or corner; the beads and gasket are made for one thickness, so a different one will not seat properly.
This will not fit if: your opening is larger than 750mm in either direction, or your old panel is a thickness other than 20mm, 24mm or 28mm.
All measurements are approximate and may vary slightly due to manufacturing tolerances. Panels are supplied uncut at 750mm x 750mm; JCP Hardware does not offer a cutting service.
What It Fits and Replaces:
- Flat half panels in uPVC and double glazed doors, cut to size
- Infill panels in conservatory frames and uPVC window units
- Old pet flap openings and glazed areas being blanked off for privacy
Key Benefits:
- Reinforced core – a 4mm MDF board inside the foam gives this reinforced uPVC door panel more impact resistance than a plain foam panel, so it stands up to knocks on an external door.
- Insulated – the polystyrene foam infill cuts heat loss and noise through the panel compared with a single glazed or thin panel.
- Stays white – 1.5mm UV-stable uPVC skins do not discolour or turn pink in sunlight, so the replacement panel keeps matching the door.
- Cut to size at home – a fine-toothed handsaw or jigsaw is all you need, so a uPVC door panel replacement is a DIY job without specialist tools.
- Three thicknesses – 20mm, 24mm and 28mm options cover most uPVC door and window panel systems.
- Flame retardant – the panel has fire-resistant properties, which matters on an external door or in a conservatory.

Pro Tips:
Pro Tip: Cut the panel when the temperature is above 12°C. Cold uPVC is brittle and the skin can chip along the cut. Leave any protective film on while you cut, then peel it back from the edges before beading so it does not get trapped under the beads. Measure twice and cut once: a short panel cannot be put back.
Tools you'll need: A tape measure, a putty knife or decorator's scraper for the beads, and a fine-toothed handsaw or jigsaw.

Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I measure for a replacement uPVC door panel?
Lever out the beading that holds the old panel in place with a putty knife, starting with the longest bead, and mark each bead so it goes back in the same position. Lift out the old panel and measure its width, height and thickness. Order the matching thickness, cut the new panel to the width and height you measured, then refit the beads with the longest last, tapping them home with a soft-faced mallet if needed.
Do you cut uPVC door panels to size?
No. Every panel is supplied at 750mm x 750mm and you cut it to size yourself with a fine-toothed handsaw or jigsaw. That lets you match the exact size of your opening.
Which thickness do I need, 20mm, 24mm or 28mm?
Match the thickness of the panel you are removing. Measure it at a corner once the beads are off. If you are unsure, measure the glass unit in the same door, as the panel is normally the same thickness as the glazing.
Can I paint a uPVC door panel?
Yes. The panel comes in white, and it can be painted with a specialist uPVC paint. Clean and lightly key the surface first, and follow the paint maker's instructions for adhesion.
Will this uPVC half door panel fit my door?
It fits any flat panel opening up to 750mm x 750mm in a uPVC or double glazed door, conservatory or window frame, as long as your old panel is 20mm, 24mm or 28mm thick. Measure the opening and the old panel's thickness before ordering.
