How to Fit the Macclex MXS 15/2 Threshold:

1. Prepare the seals: Remove the rubber seals from the aluminium sill section before cutting.
2. Measure & cut the bar: Measure the width between the inside faces of the doorframe rebate and cut the aluminium to size, cutting at the opposite end to the replacement seal hole.
3. Cut & refit the seals: Cut the rubber seals 10mm longer than the aluminium bar and reinsert them into the grooves in the sill.
4. Notch the ends: Notch both ends of the sill so it sits cleanly into the doorframe rebate. When the door is closed, the front seal should be compressed by approximately 3mm — notch the sill to allow for this.
5. Check door clearance: This sill requires 13mm under-door clearance. If necessary, remove the door and trim the bottom edge to suit, ensuring the underside is smooth so it doesn't damage the rubber seals.
6. Mark & drill: Position the assembled sill between the doorframe and mark the fixing points through the countersunk holes. Remove the sill, drill the fixing holes and insert the wall plugs.
7. Seal & secure: Apply a bead of sealing compound to the underside of the sill where it contacts the doorframe. Screw the sill into place.
