Era Fortress 3 Star High Security Euro Cylinder Door Lock UPVC Doors Anti Snap TS007 3* or Half Cylinder

The ERA Fortress 3 Star Door Cylinder has been especially designed to offer maximum protection to your home. Its high performance euro profile locking cylinder has six hardened security pins for superior anti-pick, anti-drill, anti-snap and anti-bump resistance and is independently tested to ensure that it meets latest security standards. If the cylinder is attacked, a security pin blocks the cylinder cam preventing unlawful access to the cylinder which can still be operated from the inside using the key.

This cylinder currently holds British Standard Kitemark KM553031(TS007 3*), Sold Secure Diamond and Secured By Design accreditation. It is also TS007 approved. TS007 is a standard developed in response to concerns over cylinder attacks. The standard is characterised by a 3 star rating system, and can be achieved by combining a 1 star cylinder with a 2 star security door furniture or using a stand alone 3 star cylinder which the ERA Fortress series cylinder is.

If at a later stage you require additional keys, then your key code may be found underneath the key fob on the individual keys.  This key code may also be registered on the ERA website. Register your ERA cylinder.

Please Note: Cylinders of equal length both sides (e.g. 40/40) will have one snap line that must be fitted facing the external side of the door, this is marked with an 'O' on the cylinder. Cylinders with unequal sides e.g. 45/50 etc. have anti-snap protection on both sides; this means that either end can be used as the external side when fitting; therefore, ordering a 45/50 cylinder is the same as ordering a 50/45 cylinder.

How do I measure a door cylinder?

The size of cylinder you need is determined by the thickness of the door and handle combination, for this reason there are many sizes available and you will need to be careful that you measure the cylinder accurately (one size will not fit all). It is possible to measure a door cylinder in the door, but to be sure it's best to remove it first.

Your new door cylinder should protrude by no more than 5mm from the handle back plates.

Measurement A - Measure from one end of the cylinder to the middle of the central screw hole.

Measurement B - Measure from the other end to the middle of the central screw hole.

Now check your measurements:

Measure the overall cylinder length from end to end. The length of the cylinder should equal the sum of measurements (A) and (B) when added together.

For example: If measurement (A) = 45mm and measurement (B) = 50mm the size required would be 45/50 cylinder (95mm in length). No further measurements are required
