Wooden window or door letting in draughts? Aquamac is Schlegel's range of Q-Lon foam weather seals for timber. They push into a groove in the frame or sash and seal the gap when it closes.
We stock Aquamac 21 (AQ21) and Aquamac 63 (AQ63) per metre, and Aquamac 124 (QL3020) in 10m and 25m packs. Aquamac 63 (QL3005) is also available in 6m, 10m, 25m and 300m lengths in our Q-Lon range.
Pull out a short length of the old gasket and look at the end. The shape of the cross-section is what you need to match.
Measure the overall height and width, and the leg or foot that pushes into the groove.
Compare your piece with the product diagrams. Reddiplex profiles are listed by R-number, such as R6160.
Measure the width and depth of the groove the seal pushes into. Aquamac profiles are made for different groove sizes.
Each Aquamac number is a different profile. Match the number if you can find it, or compare the cross-section and groove size.
Pull the old seal out of the groove, clean the groove and push the new seal in without stretching it. Leave a little extra at the corners.
