The most common uPVC door handle size. 92mm PZ (92PZ) uPVC door handles are the most common size on uPVC and composite doors, used on locks from many manufacturers. The PZ measurement is taken from the centre of the handle spindle to the centre of the key cylinder, and it must match your lock for the handle to work.
Once you've confirmed 92mm PZ, check the screw fixing centres and handle type. From the centre of the square spindle to the centre of the keyhole (cylinder). It should measure 92mm.
From the centre of the top fixing screw to the centre of the bottom one, measured on the inside handle. Match this as well as the PZ.
Lever/lever has a handle on both sides. Lever/pad has a pad outside (either fixed or movable via an offset/split spindle), so the door can only be opened from outside with the key.
Check the backplate length and width covers the old fixing marks, and whether your lock uses a single or split spindle.
PZ is the distance between the centre of the handle spindle and the centre of the cylinder (keyhole). It is set by the multipoint lock in your door, so a handle with a different PZ won't line up with the lock. 92mm is the most common PZ on uPVC doors, but screw centres still vary widely between handles, so measure those too.
With the door open, undo the fixing screws on the inside handle and pull both handles and the spindle out. Fit the new spindle and handles, tighten the screws evenly, and check the handle springs back and the door locks with the door open before you close it.
Only if the screw fixing centres and handle type also match. Two handles can share the same PZ but have different fixing positions.
