2. Prepare the surface: Ensure the timber frame is clean, dry and free from dust, grease or loose paint. Wipe with isopropyl alcohol for best results.
3. Temperature check: Ideally install when ambient temperature is between 10°C-30°C for optimal adhesive performance.
4. Remove backing: Carefully peel back a small section of the release liner, taking care not to touch the adhesive surface.
5. Position correctly: Align the gasket with the edge of the timber beading where it will contact the window or door.
6. Apply gradually: Press firmly while slowly peeling away more backing, working along the length in sections.
7. Secure adhesion: Once positioned, apply firm pressure along the entire length to ensure proper bonding.
8. Trim if necessary: Use sharp scissors to trim any excess at corners or joins for a neat finish.
9. Allow setting time: For best results, allow 24 hours before fully testing the window or door operation.
