Era Vectis Latch & Hook Gearbox 35mm Backset Multipoint Door Lock Centre Case Split Spindle

This is a replacement gearbox for ERA Vectis multipoint door locks. This is the single spindle version which can be used with lever/lever handles. Commonly this is the part that is most likely to be at fault when a lock fails and becomes unusable. Replacing the gearbox is cost effective as it saves having to buy a complete new lock and it is quite easily achieved.

ERA manufacture a comprehensive range of door locks, as always taking careful measurements will ensure a correct fit. The latch is easily adaptable to fit both left and right handed doors.

Please note: This gearbox is sold as a replacement, this means that it does not include a lock faceplate.

Reversing the Centre Latch:

The Centre latch of this gearbox is non-handed meaning it can be easily reversed. You can do this by following the instructions below;

• Undo the two screws located in the end of the latch
• Rotate the latch 180°
• Slide the latch back in
• Replace and tighten the screws

Changing Handing of the Split Spindle:

The Split Spindle of this gearbox can be reversed. You can do this by following the instructions below;

• Lift handle so the hook is fully thrown
• Undo the two screws located in the end of the latch
• Locate screwdriver into the screw slot
• Gently turn 180° either clockwise or anti-clockwise depending on which side the opening function is required
• Replace the latch back into the slot in the correct orientation and tighten both screws
• Check function has been set correctly using split spindle and handle
