Frequently Asked Questions:
Do I need one or two restrictors for my door?
For standard single doors, one restrictor is sufficient. For French doors or double doors, we recommend purchasing two restrictors (one for each door).
Will this restrictor prevent my door from slamming in all weather conditions?
While the adjustable friction brake effectively prevents door slamming in normal wind conditions, please note that this restrictor is not designed to withstand unpredictable high winds or strong gusts. Additional precautions should be taken during extreme weather.
Can I disengage the restrictor when not needed?
Yes, the arm can be easily disconnected should it be necessary to open the door or window fully, making it ideal for everyday use with the option of restriction when needed.
Is this restrictor suitable for composite doors?
This restrictor is specifically designed for doors with a Eurogroove in the sash, typically found in uPVC, aluminium, and some timber doors. Most composite doors do not have eurogrooves and would require a different type of restrictor.
