Split Spindle Set for Fuhr 859 Series Multipoint Door Lock Lever or Pad Handle
The split spindle is an additional security measure that can be added to existing front door lock mechanisms (the FUHR 859 series) to automatically latch the door on closure requiring a key to open it again. It is most commonly used where the householder has a Lever on the inside of the door and a Pad on the outside and is therefore also known as an 'inline lever/pad operation'. Once installed the lock operates as normal whereby you push the handle up to engage the locking points and turn the key to secure them, on opening, the inside handle retracts all locking points including the latch where as the external handle retracts all locking points minus the latch which requires a key to disengage.
These two-part split spindles are used with the Fuhr 859 series door locks which incorporate FUHR™ unique "split spindle" mechanism, enabling both lever/lever and lever/pad operation. By using a split single set in combination with the Fuhr 859 series door lock there is the option to use a lever/lever or lever/pad door handle, the door will then require a key to open from the outside for increased security.

How do I return items?
- Log into your account and click on the Orders tab.
- Find the order you wish to return and click “Return Items?” on the right.
- On the Returns tab:
- Enter the quantity you wish to return (right side).
- Select the return reason and return action (replacement or refund) under the item.
- If a replacement is not available, a refund will be issued.
- Use the comments box for any additional details.
- Click “Submit Return Request”.
