90° & 135° Degree Stainless Steel Door Restrictor Arm Stay Hold Open UPVC Patio
The 335mm & 500mm Door Restrictors feature a stainless steel arm that is designed to remain open in any position using an adjustable friction pad. This restrictor can be used on most UPVC, timber and composite windows and doors with a Eurogroove; (composite doors without a channel will need a channel routed into the top of the door in order to fit the restrictor). The aluminium slider track simply screws into the eurogroove on top of your door and the universal striker plate screws to the outer door frame. The hard-wearing hold-open function, has a stainless steel arrow head, it engages in a carbon steel plated holding spring - providing a more robust hold. It limits the door movement - 90° with the 335mm and 135° with the 500mm, which stops the door knocking your sill end caps off. The restrictor is only visible when the door is in the open position. The slider features an adjustable friction brake to prevent the door from slamming shut in windy conditions and the multiple screw ports let you restrict the door opening up to 90° or 135° degrees.
N.B. This restrictor and hold-open function is robust, but is not designed to stop the door slamming in unpredictable storms or strong gales!

Good quality and value
I have used this to work on my Aluminium French Windows. The windows are not euro groove so I routed out the euro groove in some oak, and routed out the bottom edge of the oak to match the aluminium profile. I fitted the oak to the top of the door and fitted the stay into that, screwing the screws through the wood into the french window. I also had to make a spacer plate for the door jamb mount. I wanted to make the door open more than 90 degrees so chose the longer version which did not allow the full 150mm gap from the hinge edge so I decided to make the door open only about 120 degrees and followed the fitting instructions. It worked a dream, holding the door open yet allowing to close easily. The friction plate was easy to adjust and I have set it to give a bit of friction, yet open with not too much effort. Well made, reasonably priced and works as well as I could have hoped. PS, I have photos of my alterations should you be interested.

How do I return Items?
If you need to return an item please log into your account and click on the orders tab. Locate the order you wish to return and on the right click on 'Return Items?' You will then be taken to the returns tab; on the right hand side enter the quantity you wish to return; then on the left below the item, select the return reason and then the return action (whether you would like a replacement or a refund). If a replacement is not available, we will issue you a refund. There is a comments box to the right if you need to enter any more details.
Once you are happy that all the details have been correctly entered then click on the 'Submit Return Request' button. You will then be sent a return request email from JCP Hardware with instructions.
