Multipoint Door Lock Gearbox Case Only Fullex Type A UPVC 37mm Backset 68mm 68PZ

This is a replacement Fullex Type A replacement centre gearbox for Fullex multipoint locks. This is the part that is most likely to be at fault when a lock fails and becomes unusable. Replacing the gearbox is cost effective as it saves having to buy a complete new lock and it is quite easily achieved. The latch can easily be reversed to fit both left and right handed doors.

Fullex Type A is a replacement centre gearbox, designed to fit uPVC and aluminium doors, and can be used to replace the now obsolete Case B. The Type A replacement centre has a wide faceplate, and is 258mm in height overall. It has a 37mm back set (distance from the centre of the spindle to the edge of the faceplate) and the distance from the centre of the spindle to the centre of the euro cylinder lock hole is 68mm (68PZ). The gearbox lock is designed as a split spindle for use with lever/pad handles (to restrict access from outside) but can also be used as a single spindle for lever/lever handles.

Fullex manufacture several different types of gearboxes; the Fullex Type A is however quite distinctive in design but, as always, taking careful measurements will ensure a correct fit.

What should I check before ordering a new door lock?

The most important measurements are the lock Backset and the lock handle centres (the distance from the centre of the handle spindle to the centre of the barrel). Please remember to check your gearbox against all of the measurements (you will need to remove the lock from the door to get accurate measurements).

The centre latch is non-handed, it can easily be reversed by following the instructions below.

Undo the screw located in the end of the latch
Rotate the latch 180Â°
Slide the latch back in
Replace and tighten the screw
